The Bachelor of Education Program generally known as B.Ed., is a Professional course that prepares teachers for upper primary or middle level (classes vi - viii), secondary level (classes ix-x), and senior secondary level (classes xi-xii).

Duration

The B.Ed. program shall be the duration of two academic years (four semesters). 100% attendance is mandatory for all the students.

Intake

Every year a total intake of two basic units of 50 students each, (total 100 students) are getting admitted to the college.

Eligibility

Any UG or PG degree holder of the affiliating university or any other university recognized by UGC and/ a degree from foreign university which has equivalence to Indian Universities are eligible.

• Candidates with at least 50% of marks either in bachelor’s degree and / or the Masters degree or any other qualifications equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
• The minimum marks to be secured in the last qualifying examination in the case of SC/ST/CAT-1/PH candidates will be of 45%.
• The reservation of seats for reserved categories will be as per the university notification and / the notification issued by the State Government in the matter of reservation policy notified from time to time.
• Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Karnataka Government Centralized admission cell for B.Ed. are eligible for admission to B.Ed.

Admission Procedure:

Admission will be made on merit, on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government and the University.

As per NCTE norms staff recruited by the management. The college has well qualified, dedicated and experienced faculty members with dynamic leadership qualities.
